Meaghan and Jesse dreamed of a Newport wedding with all of their family and friends, beautiful sunshine, and colorful details at their OceanCliff Newport wedding. With a forecast calling for a zero percent chance of rain, the weather could not have been more perfect for an oceanfront celebration overlooking Narragansett Bay. Blue skies, beautiful ocean views, and the softest summer light created the perfect backdrop for a wedding filled with romance, color, and effortless elegance. A little sailboat even made it’s way into their ceremony photos and left us in awe.
Designed by Danielle Mihai, the wedding design paired lush peach blooms with touches of green, creating a fresh and sophisticated palette that felt right at home against the coastal setting of Newport, Rhode Island and so unique in a coastal atmosphere.
Perched along Newport’s dramatic coastline, OceanCliff is one of the most iconic settings for a Newport wedding. Its sweeping ocean views and historic elegance provide a naturally stunning backdrop, allowing the wedding design to enhance the setting rather than compete with it.
For Meaghan and Jesse, the goal was to create a celebration that felt polished and romantic while still embracing the beauty of an oceanfront Newport wedding.
The result was a timeless design with a fresh, garden-inspired feel.
The reception design centered around one of our favorite combinations: soft peach florals paired with rich green floral linens.
The peach blooms brought warmth and romance to the tables, while the green fern linens grounded the design and added an unexpected sophistication. Against the oceanfront backdrop at OceanCliff, the colors felt both elegant and organic.
Florals by Botanica Floral Design incorporated seasonal blooms, including beautiful dahlias, creating arrangements that felt lush and abundant without overwhelming the tables.
The combination of peach, green, and natural floral textures gave the reception a distinctly elevated garden-party feel, perfectly suited to a summer wedding in Newport.

To complement the floral design, NUAGE linens brought another layer of texture and color to the reception.
The green linens created a beautiful foundation for the peach floral arrangements and allowed the flowers to truly stand out. This balance of color and texture is an important part of creating a sophisticated wedding tablescape: choosing linens that support the floral design while still making a statement of their own.
At OceanCliff, where the scenery already provides so much visual beauty, the tables were designed to feel intentional, romantic, and connected to the coastal surroundings.
Schwalbs Photo documented the day with an eye for both the grand setting and the intimate moments.
From the sweeping ocean views at OceanCliff to the carefully styled reception tables, their photographs preserve the details that made this Newport wedding so special.
The images tell the story of a day filled with sunshine, flowers, family, and celebration .. all set against one of Rhode Island’s most beautiful coastal backdrops.
If you’re dreaming of an OceanCliff wedding in Newport, Meaghan and Jesse’s celebration is proof that the most beautiful wedding designs don’t have to compete with the setting. Instead, they can enhance it.
A thoughtfully chosen color palette, elevated linens, seasonal florals, and intentional details can transform an already spectacular venue into something that feels completely personal to you.
