A Palm Royale inspired birthday celebration transformed a Connecticut country club into “Georgie’s Supper Club,” featuring custom design, casino experiences, and elevated guest moments.

When interior designer Alexander Reid approached us with his vision for a Palm Royale inspired birthday celebration, we immediately knew this would be something special, the goal was not just to host an event, but to fully transform the space into an immersive, transportive experience, layered, intentional, and entirely original.

Reimagining a Connecticut Country Club

Set within a classic Connecticut country club, the design began with a full reimagination of the existing space, traditional furnishings were removed, allowing for a curated mix of rentals, custom installations, and rich textures to define the environment. Alex’s team fabricated the curtains out of duvet covers framing the room.

The concept, Georgie’s Supper Club, established the year Alex was born.

Every detail was rooted in storytelling, custom crests featuring his dog, Georgie, became a signature motif woven throughout the event, while layered lounge moments and casino tables created an environment that felt both intimate and dynamic.

The result was a complete transformation, one that felt less like a country club and more like a private, members only supper club.

An Elevated Guest Arrival Experience

The experience began well before guests entered the space.

Guests arrived via private transportation, each car marked with custom magnets introducing the evening’s identity from the very first moment, upon arrival, they were greeted by a doorman actor, an intentional detail that immediately set the tone.

Inside, casino tables, a palm reader, and thoughtfully designed lounge areas encouraged guests to move through the space and engage with every layer of the experience.

Entertainment That Evolved Throughout the Night

Music played a central role in shaping the atmosphere.

Courtney Bassett began the evening with jazz sets that complemented the supper club ambiance before transitioning into high energy pop performances, this intentional progression allowed the night to evolve naturally, from refined and intimate to fully celebratory. His best friend also had a surprise performance.

Guests embraced the theme in caftans, bold prints, and statement looks, adding to the visual richness and energy of the evening.
